Workshop 1: Sustainability, technology and society

The workshop discussion is to be scoped to: • Sustainable considerations in the process of innovating the technology or applying the technology itself. • The role of society to shape sustainable technologies, e.g., renewable energy, biodegradable products, among others. • Sustainability ethics in the area of the “global resource commons”, that is, discussion on resources that are externalized because of few or no boundaries (e.g., the atmosphere and the oceans).
