Abstract :
This paper presents a theoretical study of electromagnetic waves propagating in a rectangular plasma waveguide. Plasma waveguide under consideration represents a rectangular metal waveguide partially filled with semiconductor. We also investigate interaction of a non-relativistic electron beam moving within the waveguide with the electromagnetic oscillations in it. Collisions of electrons are taken into account. An electrostatic approach is used for the investigation of the beam-plasma interaction. Such an approach significantly simplifies the task and allows one to receive dispersion equations in an analytical form.
