  • Abstract
This paper describes how rotors of large electrical machines with bending modes within the speed range can be balanced. A method is described, that allows for high speed balancing in a safe environment (a balancing facility) and avoids correctional balancing in the complete machine setup. After a short introduction into the balancing problem, the rotors and the balancing equipment are described. The balancing procedure and the mathematical algorithm used as well as a conclusion are provided.
