Abstract :
Waveforms with good correlation properties are useful in several areas such as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) sonar detection system. Most sonar systems have used CW (Continuous Wave) and Linear Frequency Modulation (LFM) signals. However, in MIMO sonar system, the waveforms have to be orthogonally condition. In this paper, we introduce the orthogonal frequency hopping waveforms and evaluate the performance of the sonar detector using these waveforms via simulation and sea trial.
