Abstract :
Electromagnetic plane-wave scattering by a 2D loaded rectangular crack on a ground plane coated by a dielectric layer illuminated by a TE plane wave is studied theoretically using Kobayashi Potential method. The geometry is divided into three regions and the fields in each region are expressed in terms of Bessel eigenfunctions. The solution in then found by solving a system of equations which is formed by truncated summations. Using Weber-Schafheitlin discontinuous integrals the summations truncated with high numerical accuracy. The FEM is exploited for validation of the method. Having the analytical method, the influence of the dielectric layer is investigated.
