Abstract
Physical interpretation is given to the fundamental formula of electrostimulation theory, which provides means for the estimation of dangerous thresholds for field strength, voltage, and current as a function of frequency. Between 20 kHz and 400 kHz the thresholds increase with 6 dB/octave. Above 400 kHz, an attenuation of 12 dB/octave makes fibers nearly insensitive to electrical excitation
