Abstract :
The magnetron designer advancing to the millimeter band short-wave region is faced with the problem of an increasing load to the electrodes, causes a catastrophically decreasing durability. This paper examines the use of secondary-emission cathodes (side cathodes) in order to extend the main cathode durability.
