Abstract :
In the paper, evaluation of an improved design prototype for high temperature standard platinum resistance thermometers (HTSPRTs) is reported. The prototype utilizes alumina disk insulators to minimize the leakage current flowing between the measurement leads at the stem part of the HTSPRT. The HTSPRT is designed to be applicable up to the copper freezing point.
