Abstract
This paper presents the mathematical model of multiphase induction machines in synchronous reference frame by using generalized two-phase real transformation. Indirect rotor field oriented control (IRFOC) is then developed for multiphase induction machines. A detail implementation of IRFOC for 15-phase induction machines and generalized unified voltage modulation technique be applied to multiphase inverters are described. The control method is implemented the floating-point digital signal processor board TMS320C32 to verify the validity of the developed control strategy.
