Abstract
This paper proposes two approaches for direct torque control. The first approach based on an analytic optimization of a quadratic criterion related to the transient machine behavior. The second based on fuzzy logic concept. The developed fuzzy logic controller uses mainly the input/output data. The real-time implementation is here described and the experimental and simulation results are compared. A sufficient agreement between the two results have been obtained.
