Abstract :
This paper shows a test result of a 50kW Switched Reluctance Motor (SRM) designed for a Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). The SRM is designed with competitive dimensions, weight, voltage and current with respect to a HEV IPM motors. However, experimental results have not yet presented. In this paper, a test result is briefly presented within the power and speed range of 50kW and 6000r/min. The test machine is found to have an output of 50kW and the best efficiency of more than 95%, which are competitive to the HEV IPM motors.
