Abstract
This paper presents the results of a model predictive control project using Honeywell´s Profitreg Controller RMPCT Technology on a BTX (benzene, toluene and xylene) plant at the LG Petrochemical Co., Ltd. located in Yeosu, Korea. Post-project performance analysis shows the extractor production has been increased. The application of Honeywell´s robust multivariable predictive control technology (RMPCT) is proper for the BTX plant due to the present of multiple recycle loops, long process delay and the variation of plant constraint due to the weather condition
