Abstract
The pilot workshop was a success in that it met the program objectives. The participants were engaged not only in the construction of the buoy, but in the potential of the BOB concept both for undergraduate and precollege ocean sciences. Another criterion of success is the continuation of the dialogue among the participants and the continuation of the application of the workshop in other situations.
