Abstract :
A parametric multiresolution technique that utilizes the Haar wavelet basis expansion of object planar contours over a discrete time-scale space is used for target identification. The Haar wavelet is orthonormal and has a good localization properties. The multiresolution Haar transform represents shape features at different resolution levels. The model is independent of shape size and location. Experimental shape classification results are provided
