Abstract
Rehabilitation of dysphagia is an important factor in pursuing better quality of life (QOL) for patients suffering from the disorder. In order to make proper in-home rehabilitation policies, nursing staff must grasp the daily changes in the swallowing function of the patient. Current methods of evaluating the function, however, cannot easily be used for in-home nursing. In this research, we propose an optical sensor-based system that enables quantitative analysis of swallowing function and that can be handily used for in-home nursing
