Abstract :
Resource management and application scheduling are the most challenging areas of Grid. In this paper, we have proposed an efficient job scheduling strategy using multi-agent systems and service level agreements (SLAs) based on Alternating Offers protocol. SLAs are used to establish agreements for ensuring user´s QoS requirements are met, and provider utilizes its own resources efficiently. We proposed an algorithm based on the optimal use of the available resources namely, the negotiation time and the grid resources. We also used the information of the previous negotiation sessions to increase the probability of successful agreement. The experimental results show that the proposed method is efficient applicable in Grid environment.
