Abstract
An optical self-routing switch that uses multiple-wavelength matching is described. Routing addresses are identified by combination patterns of several wavelengths. Data are transferred concurrently on the several wavelengths selected. The data can be detected by correlating wavelength patterns. Maximum-length codes can be applied as the wavelength patterns are stably detected. A correlation circuit with a high index of discrimination is proposed. This switch can be used for multipoint connection as well as for point-to-point connection
