Abstract :
We consider the problem of estimating overlapped multipath delay for DS-CDMA systems. A fast high resolution overlapping delay estimation technique is proposed. To eliminate the effect on estimation error caused by the complex amplitude phase of multipath, a new correlation-based estimation function is adopted. Also, to reduce complexity without losing resolution, the method utilizes an SVD-based sinusoid retrieval algorithm. Computer simulations show that the proposed method can resolve overlapped multipaths at low signal-to-noise ratio.
