Abstract :
Replication technique, which is the major thrust research, has been much studied in Peer to Peer (P2P) overlay networks for the past two decades. P2P network is a good elucidation for distributed computing than client-server model. The nodes in P2P networks act as a client and also a server. Peer to peer applications are emerged as a powerful paradigm for content sharing across the world which cause more Internet traffic. In order to decrease the Internet traffic and search success of an enhanced query searching and data retrieval mechanism of our previous work [4], to increase the data availability and reliability Least Recently Used (LRU) replica replacement technique in distributed computing network is proposed in this system. In this work both the object replication and replica replacement methods are used. The proposed mechanism replaces the replicas by using LRU technique. Routing is performed hierarchically by broadcasting the query to the strong clusters. From the extensive simulations using NS2 simulator, the proposed system achieves reduced access latency, packet drop, and increased query coverage.
