Abstract :
This paper proposes an integrated PI controller for improved steady state performance and a sliding mode controller for high transient performance. A fuzzy logic controller is implemented to switch between them. Stability is achieved using a design procedure based on Lyapunov function and the feasibility of implementing such a controller is verified on a highly nonlinear system, an induction motor.
