Abstract :
This paper focuses on the deficiencies and gives a solution to improve image enhancement through image fusion using wavelet. In order to overcome the deficiencies well, an image fusion method is presented based on a simple and effective evaluation of local contrast. The good characteristics of the original image and enhanced result are combined to reduce the deficiency. Experimental results demonstrate that image fusion using wavelet is a feasible solution to overcome the deficiencies of image enhancement, like the loss of details, the loss of local contrast and gray-world violation.
