Abstract :
Knowledge management is becoming increasingly important in creating value and sustainable competitive advantage in organization. Achieving an efficient knowledge management depends on how its different phases are implemented as well as certain critical success factors. Because of this, the purpose of this article is to report a systematic mapping of the literature to identify, extract and categorize existing research on the stages or phases, tools, techniques and factors influencing knowledge management in SMEs. The process for mapping and existing items, steps, tools, techniques, types of factors reported and the research methods used to identify them are identified is described. These results will be used as a basis for further empirical study on Knowledge Management in the SME sector Uruguay.
