Abstract
Information Technology (IT) is an integral part of modern culture and are the main driver for development and innovation in the economic and social world. The Colombian local context is no stranger to the trend in IT investments, which are strongly led by the government through the Ministry of ICT through provision of infrastructure, policy and some state programs. This paper gives an overview of public policies IT in Colombia and an analysis of the evolution of these policies, presented the national digital ecosystem, strategies and achievements in recent years in implementing the Plan Vive Digital.
