Abstract :
The use of waveguide band-stop filters allows to ensure, with maximum efficiency, a single-sideband operation of high-sensitivity cooled detector. But the shorter is the operating wavelength, the more difficult is the realization of the waveguide filters. In the present paper, the possibility is considered of the creation of waveguide-type polarization filter based on two polarization reflectors turned with respect to each other. It is suggested to use waveguide transitions from rectangular to circular cross-section as polarization reflectors. The relative simplicity of the filter allows to expect that it will be of wide use in millimeter-wave and submillimeter-wave bands.
