Abstract :
In this paper the problem of diffraction of electromagnetic waves on the resonance slot iris of finite thickness was solved when the iris couples two half-infinite rectangular waveguides in general case of different cross sections. Surfaces of the iris may be both the ideally conducted and impedance including case when they possesses resistance losses. On the base of numerical investigations the physical regularities in considered diffraction problem have been analyzed.
