Abstract :
In the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, with the addition of Simon Bolivar and Miranda satellites has increased the need to process and present geographic information through Geoportals. In their programming, must prioritize the use of Free Software tools to be integrated properly, such as OpenLayers, GeoServer, GeoExt, ExtJs, among others. Such tools are of recent development which requires investing time in research and apply expert judgment. The objective of the research was to create a training course for the development of Geoportals, for it made a Instructional Design, based on constructivism and basic Geoportal was created with a map of Venezuela as a base map and multiple layers using the suite OpenGeo and RUP development methodology, in order to facilitate the learning of these subjects to students PNFI.
