Abstract :
Summary form given only. A new series of high voltage all-solid-state pulse generators with the pulse duration of from several nanoseconds to several microseconds has been developed. Voltage amplitude of output pulses can be from tens of kilovolts to 1 megavolt. Pulse repetition rate can reach 1 kHz. The pulsers are manufactured using high voltage FID switches. Output voltage is adjustable in range from 20 to 100% of maximum amplitude without any change of rise time and pulse duration. Jitter is not more than 100 ps. Model FPG 1000-1 MX 10 feature maximum output voltage into 200 Ohm of 1 megavolt, rise time of 20 ns, pulse width at 50% of maximum amplitude of 50-100 ns, peak current of 5 kA, energy in pulse of 200-300 J. Model FPG 100-1MX2 feature maximum output voltage into 50 Ohm of 100 kV, rise time of 10 ns, pulse width at 50% of maximum amplitude of 50-100 ns, peak current of 2 kA, pulse repetition rate of 1 kHz. Model FPG 50-IPS feature maximum output voltage into 50 Ohm of 50 kV, rise time of 1 ns, pulse width at 90% of maximum amplitude of 5 ns, jitter of less than 50 ps, pulse repetition rate of 1 kHz.
