Abstract :
The phase differences between visual evoked responses and electroretinograms were studied. Colored sinusoidal stimulation was obtained using a Vo van Toi and Grounauer papillometer (modulation: 100%; flicker frequency: 5 Hz and 20 Hz; fields size: 6° and 60°; color: white, red, green and blue). Recordings were made using cutaneous electrodes and averaging (analysis time: 0.6 s; number of sweeps: 100). Fourier series analysis showed the red to be slower than the blue using stimulation at 5-Hz and 60°. This result was reversed for both the 20-Hz, 60° and 5-Hz, 6° cases, where the central retina is at less of a disadvantage
