Exchange of network model diagrams using CIM standard at the California ISO

The absence of CIM standard for the exchange of network model diagrams between the different Vendor applications creates a challenge in processing the Vendor specific graphic information embedded in the CIM/XML RDF file of a network model. The different Vendors extend the CIM standard differently for embedding the graphic information of the network model in CIM/XML RDF file. This causes challenges for the Vendors to process such a file and reproduce the one line diagrams from the embedded graphic information. This paper describes how the market network model one line diagrams are produced from the graphic information embedded in the CIM/XML RDF file. It also addresses the necessity of CIM standard for graphic information exchange.
