Abstract :
A real-time multitasking kernel called SORT has been developed. A self-tuning system, called MASTER, has been implemented, using this executive, on a PC-AT compatible computer with a DASH-16F interface card. The common two-task structure (background and foreground) has been used in the MASTER system. Each task includes several modules, which are procedures that run sequentially. The effectiveness of the implemented system and the self-tuning control protection mechanisms are demonstrated with examples obtained through the utilization of a nonlinear plant
