Abstract :
The decision feedback channel equalizer (DFE) is reformulated in terms of the method of projections onto convex sets (POCS). The formulation provides faster convergence in the training mode by updating the DFE taps several times per symbol period. The data-driven mode is made more robust with the introduction of new decision strategies
