Abstract :
Waveguide methods of dielectric permeability measurement are widely used for their simplicity. A typical measurement cell is a waveguide segment with dielectric. First of all, we don´t now dielectric permeability type - complex or not in common case. If we know it, we can choice suitable measurement method, because universal methods, as a rule, are complex. This measurement method is created from analysis wave scattering matrix coefficient for the waveguide segment with dielectric. Dielectric permeability type will be determined on the basis of analysis of VSWR curve. This curve will be obtained for a waveguide with dielectric, loaded or on a matched load or on a short circuit lock.
