  • Abstract
The method of calculation of Maximum Time Interval Error (MTIE) estimate, presented in the paper, proved to be time effective. The method demonstrated its effectiveness for timing signals stemming from different sources. In some situations, however, the mixture of direct method (used for very short observation intervals), extreme fix (EF) method (used for a bit longer observation intervals) and EFDR method (used for the usually most numerous rest of observation intervals) seems to be the best choice. There is a possibility to use the EFDR method for calculating the MTIE estimate quasi-parallel and on-line for a series of the observation intervals
