Abstract :
In conclusion, we have successfully demonstrated a 10-Gbit/s four channel WDM transmission over a 2400-km dispersion shifted fibre (DSF) using the optical DPSK-DD direct detection system. This distance is long enough for terrestrial networks. High Q-factors were achieved in 1600-km and 2400-km DSP transmissions as compared with that obtained using IM
