Abstract :
The present study was undertaken to gain insight into the mechanisms of biological effects of electromagnetic radiation on the self-assembled lipid bilayer structures (liposomes) modeling biological membranes. To ascertain how the physical properties of model membranes are affected by EMF, fluorescent probes sensitive to the changes in the lipid bilayer polarity and relaxation characteristics, have been employed.
