Abstract :
Summary form only given. Designing an induction accelerator cell, to minimize the transverse impedance is one of the priorities, both simulation and experiment measurement are necessary to investigate the microwave character of the new designed cell. In our laboratory, efforts have been done for years on the methods to measure the transverse impedance of an induction accelerator cell. The purpose is to verify whether we could design and optimizing a cell according to calculated results. Two kind of experimental methods have been used to do transverse impedance measurement, one is the coaxial method and the other is to determine the form factor of the under test cell. Two different cells were measured, and compared with simulation results.
