Abstract :
To image the local blood region embedded in a skin tissue, we propose a method using diffuse reflectance images at two isosbestic wavelengths of hemoglobin (420 and 585 nm). The possibility of the method was confirmed by experiments with skin tissue phantoms. A topographic image of veins was successfully reconstructed from diffuse reflectance images of in vivo human skin.
