Using the surveying data of 283 manufacturing enterprises in Henan province in China, the paper empirically analyzes the effects of manufacturing capability, innovative capacity and their interaction on the firm´s market performance in the growing stage and the mature stage. The results showes that, in the growing stage, the improvement of the manufacturing capability on the market performance is more significant than the improvement of the innovative capability on the market performance, The interaction between the above two types of capacities is difficult to have a positive impact on the market performance. In the mature stage, the improvement of the innovative capability on the market performance is more significant than the improvement of the manufacturing capability on the market performance, the interaction between the above two types of capacities has a positive impact on the market performance.
