Abstract
In this paper a new approach to tune the control gains of a PD controller has been outlined. The proposed novel fuzzy logic controller uses the functional relation between the rule premises and consequences. By introducing the possibility measure of the rules a method for generating the rule base is given. Simulation has been carried out in order to evaluate the performance of the fuzzy logic controller and it could be concluded that in case of using generalized t-norms better results can be obtained comparing with the Mamdani type controller
