By investigating some private elementary and middle schools of Dongguan´s towns, the author has found out the main factors that affect the individual career management of teachers, including organizational career management, individual achievement motivation, and general self-efficacy. Individual career management of teachers includes four aspects, which are to get a good knowledge of oneself and the school, to develop the career, and to build the relationship. The result indicated that individual achievement motivation has the greatest effect on individual career management of private schools´ teachers, then organizational career management, and self-efficacy´s effect is the least. Teacher´s age and degree also affect individual career management in a way. Organizational career management, individual achievement motivation, and general self-efficacy have effect on getting a good knowledge of the school, developing the career, and building the relationship. However, they have no effect on getting a good knowledge of oneself in individual career management of teachers.
