Abstract :
The authors describe the design of a gaze-controller for a graphic display. Highly efficient control is accomplished when the gazed and the pinpointed positions are minimized. Unstable gaze-control often occurs due to nonlinear properties of involuntary eye movements. The goal is to elucidate factors influencing eye movements to achieve stable gaze-control. The relationships between image features and eye movements have been investigated based on spectral analysis in the time domain. It was found that eye movement patterns were characterized by color and texture features. A simple visual model is proposed for determining the reference model for the controller
