Abstract
In this paper we show the feasibility of using /spl mu/-framework to design a robust controller for frequency-load control of power systems. In addition to robust stability against parameter variations and unmodeled dynamics, the design objectives include robust performance under load disturbance and practical requirements for control implementation. A very simple second order controller, of PID type, is obtained and shown to provide satisfactory performance.
