Abstract :
The performance of noncoherent reception in hybrid direct-sequence/slow-frequency-hopped (DS/SFH) spread-spectrum multiple access (SSMA) communication systems operating through indoor wireless multipath and fading channels is investigated. The system with differential-phase-shift keying (DPSK) modulation and predetection combining is examined. Approximations are obtained for the multiuser probability of error by using a Gaussian approximation for the multiple-access and multipath interference
