Abstract
In this paper the theory of the frequency modulation is used to determine harmonics in the spectrum of the current drawn from the grid by voltage-source active rectifier. The first part presents theory of frequency modulation that is further applied to a spectrum of pulse width modulation. The second part shows derivation of calculations of size of the current harmonics drawn from the grid. In the last part the calculations are compared with the simulations.
