Abstract :
In this paper, congestion management (CM) based on demand management has been proposed for a mix of pool and bilateral electricity market. The bilateral demand considered is secure after obtaining minimum deviations in preferred schedules obtained by the ISO. The impact of Generalized Power Flow Controller (GUPFC) has been studied for congestion management. The proposed approach has been tested on IEEE 24 bus test system.
