Abstract
In wireless sensor networks, object tracking is one of the important topics in research of wireless sensor networks. However, the core technology of object tracking is the positioning technique. In recent years, many positioning methods have been proposed. The main purpose of this paper is to achieve an object tracking mechanism with low complexity of computation and low cost based on various constraints of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, a processing program for object tracking and a positioning method for power-level switching are proposed, and a concept of data aggregation is added to reduce unnecessary data transfer volume. The simulation results showed the proposed method is feasible and has low positioning error.
