Abstract :
This research was done based on Linux Ubuntu 8.10 distribution to discover how Ubuntu performs as well as the available features that Ubuntu offers. The report sheds the light on some of the main aspects of Ubuntu and it includes different sections that cover the purpose of this distribution, brief history, way and reason of acquiring it, installation related steps and topics, administration and services, comparison with other Operating Systems, and other features that are worth to be mentioned about this distribution.
