Abstract :
The performance of a slotted ALOHA system with finite population and multipacket buffers is analyzed. The study shows that the slotted ALOHA with multipacket buffers provides good performance at low loads as compared to the single packet buffer system performance. As the channel traffic increases, the multipacket buffer system suffers from a high rate of collision, which in turn decreases the throughput and increases the delay
