Abstract :
A hi-gain dipole elliptic-shaped patch antenna with dual band characteristic in continuation of my previous papers [1-2] is presented. The experimental results show that 10dB return loss bandwidths in lower and upper WLAN bands, 2.4GHz and 5GHz respectively. Even more have been covered completely. Moreover, for special geometry of the proposed antenna in both applications, with and without reflector, the radiation patterns are directional and almost stable in both bands. The maximum achievable antenna gain in boresight direction in mode with reflector, in frequency 2.4GHz and 5.5GHz are 3.5dBi and 7dBi respectively.
