Abstract
Xingshan Iron Mine is an underground mine turned from an open-pit one. For the practical problems in the process of cover formation, the air leakage characteristics of the cover under the conditions of different porosity were simulated with the software FLUENT and porosity was as the key parameters. The relationship between cover thickness and air leakage coefficient under the condition of different porosity was found which is of great significance to instruct the cover formation of open-pit to underground mining.
